The Blacksmiths Arms is a freehouse and restaurant housed within a grade two listed traditional timber framed building that dates back to the seventeenth century. We are situated within the ever-diminishing, un-spoilt, un-developed part of the Kentish countryside, but within easy reach of the county town of Maidstone and the major towns of Sittingbourne, Faversham and Ashford.
Our award-winning chef produces our mouth-watering dishes by using only fresh local ingredients, wherever possible. All meals are cooked freshly, we feel this extra delay will more than compensate you for the quality that is not normally associated with this type of establishment.
The heavily beamed cosy candlelit restaurant offers both smoking and non-smoking areas. The bar area boasts the original brick floor complete with a traditional log fire to shut out the cold in inclement weather.
To help maintain the quiet, relaxed atmosphere we have no juke box, pub games or fruit machines, for this reason children under 14 are not allowed in the bar or restaurant. Children are welcome in the garden when weather permits. We do allow well-behaved dogs on leads in the bar area.
Due to the age and design of the building wheelchair access is not recommended.
